"Artesano is perfect for dogs and humans with fancy taste. The home has a small, fully enclosed

yummy scraps that come with them."
Hidden on a quiet Eastside back street, in a neighborhood recalling the days of old Santa Fe, Artesano is a romantic two bedroom home completely remodeled in 2012. As soon as you step inside you will know the ordinary has been left behind. You will be living in a work of art - every aspect of the home has been handcrafted with remarkable attention to detail and harmony with its Southwestern surroundings. All within a short 10-minute walk to the galleries, shops and fine dining of Canyon Road and a 30-minute walk (1.6 miles) to the historic city center the Plaza.
The living room and kitchen began as a 1930’s adobe, and feature the original vigas above and new red sandstone floors below. A lovely wood burning fireplace awaits you in the living room. Relax comfortably in the living room on the colorful Afgan kazzak covered couch and Monterey chairs or put together an intimate dinner in the kitchen appointed with century-old hand-carved wood facings and new luxury appliances. Dine on a colorful mosaic table of lapis and other semi-precious stones beneath 200 year-old hand-painted wood columns and ceiling panels. Sip wine on the patio while watching the sun go down over the Jemez Mountains in the distance as you listen to the gentle burbling of the courtyard water fountain and hummingbirds buzzing overhead.
Begin and end your days in bedrooms decorated with beautiful imported carpets in each room, wood doors and hand-painted chests from the 18th century, ikat and hand-stitched suzani fabrics, scraped wood floors and coved adobe ceilings supported by hand-carved beams. Enjoy the new sub-floor forced-air central heating and cooling system, or open the windows to the cool mountain air and snuggle under hand-embroidered comforters. Each bedroom has its own full bath, with floor, walls and ceiling covered by original mosaics of brilliantly colored tiles collected from around the world, as well as hand-carved antique wood panels and soapstone latticework.
