Our family of 11 just completed a wonderful week at this lovely, spacious home situated on a large lot that allows for lots of activities outside. Four young children were along and when they were playing inside it did not feel crowded and there were so many great toys, coloring books, and games; also lots of videos for kids but we never felt the need to use them. The setup of the kitchen and great room is perfect, allowing for the enjoyment of the gorgeous lake view while reading or eating or chatting. The huge deck all around the house made for a nice play area for the grand kids and included a nice shaded area of comfy patio furniture. Having the sandy beach front was one of the best features! The convenience of popping into the house when necessary was wonderful. The lake is clear and shallow for some distance and the temperature was nice. Renting the pontoon boat made our visit extra special. Lots of successful fishing was done and many rides to enjoy the beautiful lake were taken. The location is so quiet and peaceful. Our whole family agreed it was a one of the best vacations and have talked about returning. Jeff, the owner, is very communicative, responds promptly, and made sure we had a great experience.

Wonderful!
Our family gets together once a year in August, coming from Seattle, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania. This was one of the best vacations we have had. The home is great for a large group to gather in. We had plenty of beds for our family, 11 most nights with a couple of nights with 12. The lake was lovely and we enjoyed the use of the pontoon boat and kayaks. We brought along a fishing boat and caught fish every outing, catch and release. The homeowner was very responsive to our needs, the house was well-stocked, and the site on the lake was perfect! We will definitely be back.

Beautiful and relaxing!
Awesome views, great breeze, large living areas! Kitchen and living room worked great for our family reunion of 10-15. Lake is gorgeous and had good fishing and pontooning! Fish caught right off dock! Screened porch worked great for indoor eating and outdoor furniture on deck was great for book reading or coffee drinking. Lots of space outdoors for yard games, volleyball, firepit, beanbag toss and lounging. Lots of quiet roads for walking, running or biking. Sugar Shack is close by for ice cream, wood or last minute items. Sleeping arrangements are as stated but the basement is not set up for 8. There were 3 twin beds, a cot and a double mattress to lay on floor. None of our group wanted to sleep down there so we made use of the couches instead. Will definitely do again next year! Situated on a peninsula, Sandy Point Lake House is perfectly positioned to provide more than 180 degrees of over the water views. A large sandy beach on the point is over 50 ft long with room for many to play. The 1500+ sf wrap around deck provides ample space to further enjoy the lake and oversee activities on the lake, the beach, or near the dock. Propane grill is situated on the deck as well. There is also a nearly 300 sf three seasons room for additional eating, gaming, playing space.
Inside, you will find a 5 bedroom, 3 bathroom cottage with 2100 sf of finished living area. In the main great-room, you are surrounded by floor to ceiling windows on all three sides looking out over greater than 180 degree wrap around lake views. The interior of the great room is wrapped in stained oak wood and open to the kitchen. The large master bedroom has a door wall that overlooks the lake and opens to the deck. The two other bedrooms on the first floor are cozy and well appointed with ceiling fans in each. Upstairs you will find two additional bedrooms and a full bathroom. There is a total of five beds (including one futon) upstairs to sleep 10. In addition to the total mainfloor/upstairs bed space for 16, there are additional twin beds and a two futons in the unfinished basement. Washer and dryer are in the main floor laundry room.
Pretty much everything else a family would need to have fun on the lake is included and stored in the basement: from kayaks, life jackets, floats, balls, fishing poles, nets, a row boat, and much more. We have a grill to use while looking out over the lake and fire wood to burn in the large fire pit within 15 ft from the water. There are amenities for the little ones as well including toddler toys, a pack-and-play, high chair, and baby gates to prevent them from going upstairs. There is also a 24+ foot long dock to fish from or dock your boat on. If you would like, we also have a 20' Stillwater pontoon for rent for $750/week.
