Beautiful and relaxing home

My friends and I had such a wonderful time here. We loved the preserved period details of the house, the thoughtful way it was decorated, and all the amenities provided for us (toiletries, towels, robes). The backyard is gorgeous and the pool was clearly well-maintained. Both Brandon and Tom were so helpful and accommodating. This was the perfect weekend getaway!

A MAGICAL PLACE

What a getaway we had at Vista del Monte! This is the perfect oasis for anyone who appreciates an authentic, rustic and romantic escape. The landscaping is so beautiful. The splashing fountain and the grapevine covered arbors create the most relaxing, calming atmosphere. The statue of St. Francis in the garden is amazing. You must check him out at night! The lighting is hypnotic. You will seem to be transported in time. The owner called soon after our arrival to welcome us, make sure everything was in order and to let us know who to contact for questions or assistance. As we found all along the way, there was great attention to detail. We loved having every modern convenience we could think of wrapped up in a 1940's restored Spanish home. The pool, BBQ and Bocce court were immaculately groomed and inviting. Vista del Monte really feels like a resort more than a house. Time simply stood still . We had the most wonderful experience but it was over way too fast. We will be back again and again. J and J Burbank, CA

Sad to leave

We can't believe how lucky we were to find this house for our vacation. From the moment we made the booking, to the return of our security deposit, the experience was relaxing and enjoyable. The house truly is a gem. The owner's agent, Tom, was responsive, but not intrusive. He met us on arrival, walked us through the house, got back to us quickly when we had questions, and was really helpful The house was spotless, comfortable, and had everything we needed, including a tea kettle! We expected to have to deal with bugs in the house, but didn't see even one insect inside during the entire week we were there. But the star of the show is definitely the outdoor space. We spent a lot of time in the pool. We didn't pay for pool heat, and were glad we hadn't. The water was wonderful. The check out process was quick and easy, and unlike other VRBO properties we've stayed in, we weren't required to strip beds or launder towels before we checked out. We will definitely be looking to rebook as soon as we can get away again, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this home to others.
