Quinta Maya "B" side stay
My wife and I stayed in March for 1 month. The stay was absolutely wonderful the description in the pictures were exactly what we had. the pools were beautiful and the beach area was beautifully maintained. The surrounding area with the Marina and the shops and restaurants were easy to get to. The Pub restaurant was one of our favorite places to go and meet with friends We had a wonderful and restful time there. We would definitely go again.

Maya Visit
We stayed for a week. The accomm is very well maintained, clean and very quiet in the B building. We slept very well with only the screen doors closed. It seems an extremely safe and friendly area. Approx a 5 min walk along beach or on the road to the central shopping area, as well as the lagoon where you can watch the daytime dolphin shows as you eat. Nice little restaurants with live ent in evenings. Snorkel off the rocky point to the left, by the green lighted marker, just inside the reef. We had seaweed washing up on the beaches during our week but apparently that is only a seasonal thing and they do rake it up regularly. There are a couple protected wading lagoons right beside this building which would be ideal for kids. Puerto Aventuras seems like a nicely "sanitized" version of Mexico but its also super relaxing and such a great location to go see all the Maya sights and towns from. We did rent a car and used it every day to see sights and beaches from Tulum to Playa Del Carmen. Akumal was the best, though busy, for snorkeling with turtles and swimming.
