Welcome to Sea Haven on Discovery Bay, a luxury 4 bedroom private waterfront villa located in the stunning Discovery Bay.
Located on a private waterfront acre, Sea Haven is a traditional West Indian cottage dressed in charming periwinkle blue. It sits directly on the edge of beautiful Discovery Bay. The living room is sunshine yellow with a vaulted ceiling painted to match the sky. Antiques include a 200-year-old rocker made of twigs. Tortoise-back mahogany dining chairs Circa 1780 are from Admiralty House in Port Royal and were used by Lords Rodney and Horatio Nelson. A rough-hewn 17th Century chair in the master bedroom belonged to the captain of a schooner that plied between the islands. A 19th Century lady's writing desk adorns another bedroom.
The living room opens wide to the 60' verandah ... furnished in wicker chaises, draped with flowering vines and overlooking the turquoise bay. On one side of the waterfront is a small sandy area. On the other side, cut-stone steps lead into wonderful swimming and snorkeling water. From the water's edge, it's an easy swim to the sunning platform. Watch romantic sunsets from the verandah or Jacuzzi plunge pool. After sunset, your chef will serve you delicious candlelight dinners on Spode china ~ inside, on the open-air verandah, or in the gazebo over a natural coral formation on the water's edge. During the day, a bird feeding tree dapples the gazebo and, in the afternoon, the pool. For all-day sunshine and blue, blue water... luxuriate in the buoyant bay which is Sea Haven's front yard.
STAFF While staying in Sea Haven you will be personally looked after by our wonderful team of staff. The staff includes our cook, housekeeper, assistant housekeeper, and gardener. The Sea Haven staff goes home each night. Elva always locks up part-way, leaves her telephone number with the keys and sets up morning coffee in the kitchen. She is back on the job by 7:30 each morning.

Driving time from the Montego Bay airport to Sea Haven is approximately 60 minutes. Discovery Bay is an incredibly beautiful and placid body of water ... truly one of Jamaica's treasures. The eastern shore with its lovely villas and cottages is colloquially known as "The Riviera."
Ocho Rios, which is located 54 miles north of Kingston, is built around a wide bay with a sweeping arc of hotel lined beach. It is well geared to meet the cruise passengers whom are often present. The chief attraction is Island Village which is located at the far west end of Main Street. It is a slick collection of shops, restaurants and bars with a private beach and a great museum called the Reggae Xplosion which is dedicated completely to Reggae – Jamaica’s best know export! The museum even includes a night club where guides demonstrate the latest moves. There are lots of wonderful things to do in and around Ocho Rios including:
Shaw Park Botanical Gardens
Located 550 feet above the sea, the gardens have beautiful views of Ocho Rios and are home to many rare plants and trees as well as a very pretty waterfall.
Coyaba River Garden
Also with wonderful views, Coyaba Garden’s are more compact than Shaw Park with paths threading past ponds and streams. It also has an interesting museum dedicated to the local history.
Dolphin Cove & Dunn's River Falls
Just west of Ocho Rios is probably Jamaica’s most famous attraction – the Dunn’s River Falls. It is a magnificent cascade of multiple tiers pouring over smooth lime stone rocks, encircled by interesting ferns and foliage and ending at a beautiful cove with white sands and crystal clear waters. There is also a great reef off shore and therefore it’s well worth bringing some snorkelling gear.
Climbing up the falls is the thing to do. When you enter you can take a guide who will assist you in finding an easy route up. Remember to wear a swim suit and also gym shoes as you will undoubtedly be drenched by the time you reach the top! Dunn’s Falls is quite touristy and developed (it can get busy when the cruise ships come in) with plenty of car parking and a large craft market at the end but it’s well worth a visit.
Practically opposite Dunn’s River is Dolphin Cove which is a kind of Mini-theme Park which provides the opportunity to swim with dolphins and sting rays. You will also get an opportunity to get up close and personal with macaws, snakes, iguanas and goats.
Green Grotto Caves
Located 22 miles west of Ocho Rios on the main road between The Runway and Discovery Bay, The Green Grotto is an extensive range of limestone caverns with a subterranean lake and plenty of impressive stalactites and stalagmites. The history of Green Grotto is really interesting as they were originally used by the Amerindians as a place of worship and later as a hideout by Spanish troops.
Located close to Ocho Rios Mystic mountain is definitely one of the top attractions in Jamaica. There is a really good cable car ride, a zip line, Mystic water slide, infinity edge pool, bobsled track and a restaurant with a great view of the Bay of Ocho Rios! It’s really well done and great for the adventurous at heart.
Bob Marley Center & Mausoleum
Located 25 miles south west of Ocho Rios, high in the St Ann hills amongst gorgeous landscape of grassy cattle pastures, lies the Bob Marley museum where he was born and spent his early childhood before he moved to Kingston at the age of 13. With a rasta red, gold and green flag flapping in the wind, the compound is centred around the tiny wooden shack where the Marley’s lived. The mausoleum itself is a simple whitewashed building holding Bob Marley’s tomb
