Bar Yohai is a religious Jewish communal settlement near Mount Meron in northern Israel and belongs to the Merom Ha’galil Regional Council.
It was founded in 1977 as a settlement for immigrants from the former Soviet Union.
The community is named after Rabbi Shimon Bar Yohai who according to Jewish tradition was buried on Mount Meron nearby.
On the settlement there are guest houses and Zimmers suitable for the religious community with accommodation for large families and they all respect the Sabbath.
