Marco Polo - Riquewihr Holiday Rentals

Details

Home Description

Sumptuous and spacious holiday home for 4 up to 6 adults + 2 children.

In a famous winemaker's Renaissance house (built in 1613), in the heart of Riquewihr. We called Marco Polo to the memory of the great Italian traveler who founded the relations between Asia and Europe in the Middle Ages. The beautiful Renaissance painted ceiling (listed as National Heritage) which adorns the living room offers many exotic and colorful designs - flowers and birds - evidence that Alsace was well on the path of merchants and artists who were dealing and traveling between Italy and Flanders in the Middle Ages.

This beautiful vacation apartment is a real opportunity as well as a very large apartment divided in 2 sections of 1200 square feet each spreading over 2 levels (second + third floor of the house).

On the first level of the apartment (second floor of the house), you will have a large kitchen / dining room, a beautiful en suite living room with a historical painted ceiling and a piano, a master bedroom with a King size bed, a private bathroom (very large shower actually) and an independant toilet. The second level of the apartment is accessible by a private staircase within the apartment. Up there another living room (with 2 children beds), 2 bedrooms (with each a Queen size bed) are available, together with a second bathroom (bath + shower overhead) and toilet.

For larger parties, it is then possible to accommodate up to a maximum of 6 adults and 2 children but in this case it is necessary to share the existing 2 bathrooms.Due to the many high value objects available in the apartment, the Marco Polo apartment is unfortunately not suitable for young children.
