Apartment Rosa is a modern studio apartment found in the oldest part of Prague. The name “Rosa” which also means “flower” suits the apartment very well, since it is our most preferred and well-situated place to stay in. This first- floor apartment is located in Jilska Street in the labyrinth of the Old Town, which is only 2 minutes away from the Old Town Square and is surrounded by most of Prague’s best tourist attractions. Its mysterious setting and romantic atmosphere create an ideal place for couples as well as families who want a great historical experience without having to travel anywhere. The apartment is large enough for 2 to 4 people and is equipped with a Wi-Fi connection and a satellite TV broadcasting 190 English channels. Because of the high ceilings, found in most of Prague’s historical buildings, there is a built-in level which gives it a modern look.
For anyone who likes to enjoy a delicious breakfast or coffee, there is a coffee shop situated right in the first floor of the apartment building. Apart from the historical environment, the apartment also has a pleasant view of the Sv.Jilji monastery, which is where the street got its name from. The building itself has an interesting past, according to an old Czech legend, one of the creators of the most visited Prague’s Astronomical Clock, called mistr Hanus z Ruze lived there. When you go up the street towards the Old Town Square, on the right hand side you can notice a red eagle turning away from the wall on the building no. 22.Originally the eagle came to one of the houses in Celetna street, but he landed there at same time as a two-headed female eagle. Since she had the right to stay there, he had to move to Jilska street where he is still looking, whether there is not a place on the facade of a house near Prague's oldest markets.
