You will love your stay at Guava Road! Truly an island paradise!
Six of us just had the pleasure of staying at Guava Road. Pat and Alfonso were the MOST gracious hosts ever! From picking us up at the Customs Dock, to having the place stocked with breakfast to marinating our steaks, driving us to our departure site, taking us shopping, giving us the lowdown on where to shop for groceries, the most trustworthy place to rent a car, guided tours of the island — the list of their hospitality is endless. Yes, there was a hurricane here followed by another hurricane and 52 days out of 60 with rain. To say there aren’t effects from that would be folly. To say that they’re ‘devastated’ and change any vacation plans would be outright foolish. Irma was not ‘Irmageadon’ — that’s a cute news name sound-bite and may be fun to say but it’s a disservice to the amazing people, the rebuilding they’ve done and are doing and to YOURSELF! Seriously, it is amazing here. They’re rebuilding nicely. For only five months since the hurricane, they have everything you need. Sure some is the cars have dents and some of the buildings are still waiting for their insurance companies to ante up for the necessary repairs but the islands are far from ‘decimated’ and you’ll be so sorry if you don’t keep your plans. If, like me, you don’t like a place crawling with wall-to-wall tourists, this is actually the BEST time for a vacation to the Virgin Islands. > Now, back to Guava Road, Pat and Alfonso—we had their 3bd, 2 bath unit. The kitchen is HUGE and beautiful. The covered porch is perfect for meals, socializing and just relaxing. There’s also a table in the kitchen that seats 6. Don’t forget the free wi-do as well as an assortment of books to read. Walking distance to a great beach and beach combing, the location is amazingly convenient. Close to restaurants, shopping (souvenirs, groceries and gift shops) and beaches yet far enough to be quiet (the serenade of crickets, frogs or whatever they were, coupled with the waves of the beach will cure any insomniac) make Guava Road the only place I’m interested in staying at when back here. Hopefully, you won’t have booked it for the time I want! There’s a 2 bedroom unit upstairs. The only sound we heard from our neighbors was ‘Good Morning’ when they were coming or going. Pat is so accommodating, she even gave us her personal cell number (284-541-0353) and even while we were saying Good-bye, told us to phone her if we needed anything. Honestly, the most incredible vacation rental I’ve stayed at and truly, an island paradise. Great place to go thaw out and recharge - especially since we just got a weather report from home that their getting snowROBoat

What an amazing time!
We were so fortunate to have found the Guava Road Apartments- and Pat and Alfonso! It is so hard to explain how amazing and fun our trip was. When we arrived Pat picked us up and drove us around to get groceries, and then to a cute place for dinner. The apartment was very clean and the fridge was stocked with snacks and drinks. The next day Pat drove us to the marina where we were meeting our day charter. She made sure that we were taken care of and that there were ample life jackets on the boat for all of us, and the boat was in good condition. Pat is such a caring person- we felt like we were in good hands with her! Plus, she was so much fun- she took off on Sunday and took us around to one of her favorite beaches- and brought mimosas and delicious potato salad and hoagies. Alfonso was also a sweetheart! He took us around and told us all about the island as he is a native. One night he even picked us up a pizza when we didn't want to go out. I cannot say enough about the Guava Road Apartments and Pat and Alfonso. We truly felt blessed that we met them. I can't wait to go back and visit them again! i know where I'll be staying!Cecile Taylor

Amazing little apartment tucked away in Tortola!
Guava Road Apartments were such a great find for our little group of four girls. Pat and Alphonso made sure we were well taken care of. Every detail, large or small, was taken care of by Pat and Alphonso. Both of them made sure we weren't without a ride to and from the airport as well as to and from our destination for the day/evening. And how amazing was it, when we arrived, that we had everything from bottled water, eggs, bread, alcohol, fruit, soap, razors, toothpaste, etc. stocked for us. There was even an over abundance of bath towels, beach towels and linens, so we never went without fresh, dry towels. The apartment was safe, clean, smelled fresh, and was spruced up with cute little decorations. At night we would sit on the porch laughing, and for breakfast we would sit around the kitchen table sharing stories of our recent adventures. Pat and Alphonso were such gracious hosts. I cannot thank them enough for all they did for us. I do plan to return, and when I do, I know I'll be staying right back at Guava Road Apartments!Danica

This house is magic!
This house is magic! Wonderful location, walking distance to lots of bars and restaurants! The host Pat is great she picked us up from the ferry and showed us around little Apple Bay. She was quick to communicate and simply wonderful. They even did our laundry! The front yard is covered with beautiful lights and the bedrooms are nice and frosty when the AC is on! They had lots of beach toys chairs and coolers to use as well as a plethora of towels and blankets. I am planning my next trip back to guava road apartments!Areanna

Let me begin by thanking Pat and Alphonso for their warm and gracious hospitality. The time we spent on Tortola was absolutely the best vacation imaginable. Its the little things that made our stay so extraordinary...arriving to find muffins and snacks in the refrigerator, Alphonso bringing us fresh mangos, Pat escorting us to Virgin Gorda and getting us a rental car for the day., They were always available to point us in the right direction and make sure we were taken care of. Everything was wonderful and we sincerely appreciate everything Pat and Alphonso did to make our stay memorable.David Zuckerman
