Majorca or Mallorca is the largest island of the Balearic Islands, located off the Mediterranean coast of Spain. It is a famous tourist destination with beautiful sunny climate and excellent beaches to spend several evenings and afternoons. Not only European travelers, but also visitors from different walks of life all around the world come here to enjoy vacations with families. The island can be reached conveniently:
Via Air:
The easiest and most convenient way to reach Majorca is to book a flight. Palma de Mallorca is home to Mallorca’s airport. The city receives flights from major European cities such as Madrid, Frankfurt, London and Paris. If you are starting your journey from the United States, you need to book another flight from one of these above mentioned cities to reach Mallorca.
Via Water:
Take a ferry. Ferry service is operated between Mallorca and Spain’s east coast. Barcelona and Valencia are the main ferry hubs. You can choose different ferry services according to speed and budget. A ferry trip can vary between 3 and 8 hours.
What You Need?
You must have a valid passport if you are a citizen of the European Union, Canada and the United States. Travelers who intend to stay for a period of three months or more than that, you must produce a visa before your arrival in Mallorca.
Reserve Early If You Are traveling in Peak Season:
Summer is the peak season in Majorca. Vacationers are advised to book in advance and make reservations early. Ferries and flights to accommodations all get booked well in advance. July and August are the busiest months. For peace seekers, plan a trip during the off season. June in Mallorca experiences few crowds. September and October are mostly preferred by people who want to avoid the maddening crowds and indulge in some beach activities including swimming and snorkeling.
